What are Pressurisation Units?
Pressurisation Units or PUs form part of a heating or chilled water system and are designed to increase the pressure within a system to overcome the static height of a system and to ensure there is adequate pressure to keep the uppermost of the system full of water. They also top up the system when there are is a loss in pressure due to evaporation or leaks occurring, so it maintains the system pressure within the sealed system.
How we can help you?
Willow Pumps have over 25 years of experience designing, installing and maintaining these units. With this experience we are able to assist you in system designs ensuring the best and the most efficient equipment is supplied on your project.
We can offer a wide range of PUs from some of the largest manufacturers available, which includes LTHW, MTHW, HTHW and CHW systems, with single pump units or twin pump units.
Smaller systems can utilise our full range of expansion vessels but the larger systems may be better suited to our Spill Press Units which are able to control the system pressure more accurately by utilising a “Spill tank” where the expanded volume of water. On system contraction the unit will sense the pressure dropping and start the pump(s) to pump water back into the system at a pre-determined pump back rate whilst maintaining system pressure at all times.
