Project Description

Why did the client need our services?

Our client, Bradford City AFC, found that their stadium lost water pressure during busy periods on match days in the upper tier cooperate boxes.

This part of the Utilita Energy Stadium, renowned worldwide for its warm welcome to visitors, hosts the ultimate match day VIP experience.

Guests are served food and drink whilst watching the matches, but the water pressure was too low when the stadium was busy.

Work carried out

Installation of cold water booster pump

What challenges were faced?

The football club needed to meet the requirements of corporate clients on match and hospitality days. Our team completed a survey and looked at the best ways to ensure constant water pressure in these parts of the stadium that has a capacity of 25,000 people when full.

We decided to fit a clean water booster set and a new storage tank, so there is always enough water to meet the demand on busy days, however high.

What work was carried out?

Our specialist team installed a clean water booster system with an additional storage tank and pipework that is supported and insulated. This provides a cost-effective solution for increasing pressure and meeting water demand. The tank was cleaned and chlorinated before the system was commissioned.

Our above-ground team also provided all clean water hygiene services and maintenance to ensure the booster system works correctly and meets all HSE requirements. The client was delighted with the results.
